Hi JK, thanks for reaching out! There is no complete update yet – in fact, there have been several new openings during the pandemic ๐Ÿ˜€ However, all places that you find in the article now, are also still there (yay!).
The site is and always has been in English only, to be able to speak to everyone including a) Berlin’s international crowd, and b) the travelers visiting the city. Translating in both, German and English, would have been beyond our powers ๐Ÿ˜‰

And warum is the site in English? Is there a more complete German one?

Hi Jacqui, there are no harmful chemicals involved, that is the clue ๐Ÿ˜€ Best contact Sehera directly, she is running the workshop and can give you the full picture. This is her website: https://solarlamp.de/
P.S. She is offering her workshops online, too!

The new recycling material that I thought of in the eco-friendly contest was already commercialized because you thought of it. I really think you are great and I applaud you. Can I explain your material on the page to explain the material in the contest for various uses of your kaffeefoam material?

Comment on Our Favorite Sustainable Christmas Gifts [updated] by John https://www.greenmeberlin.com/sustainable-christmas-gifts/#comment-8914 Fri, 14 Aug 2020 09:52:26 +0000 http://www.greenmeberlin.com/?p=6606#comment-8914 Hello,

Many times we talk about sustainability and sustainable gifts, but have you ever considered the idea of โ€‹โ€‹being able to digitize the wrapping paper? In a country like USA, only during Christmas every two people consume a roll of wrapping paper, and the production of this paper entails cutting down trees and negative impact on the environment.

SendGift allows you to digitally wrap gifts and send them anywhere in the world with just one click. In this way, neither wrapping paper nor energy resources are consumed in the entire logistics process to send the package to the recipient.

A good idea that makes it possible to contribute very positively to the sustainability of the planet. Its website is https://www.sendgift.io

Regards,

Hi Alok, how awesome that you’re trying to create your own tree planting project! The project we wrote about in this article is called “Bergwaldprojekt” – they will be definitely the best to talk to, as we are not aware of the legal issues around that. We just participated. You can find all contact details at the bottom of the article. All the best & good luck with everything. Keep me posted! Claudi
